SeaCoast Gas Transmission is committed to safely transporting clean and efficient natural gas throughout Florida. According to the United States Department of Transportation (DOT), natural gas pipelines are the safest form of energy transport. The extensive natural gas delivery system is mostly underground and has a proven record of resiliency, reliability and safety. We monitor pipeline operations hours a day, 365 days a year from a state-of-the-art facility to ensure the safety of the system.

 

The Florida Public Service Commission is certified through the DOT’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) to inspect pipelines and adopt rules for governing the safety of the system. Working collaboratively with federal and state regulators, public officials, emergency responder, excavators, consumers, and safety advocates, our goal is to continuously meet and exceed safety standards to protect Florida’s communities
